Scott and Sheri Schmidt designed their Smokey Mountain log cabin, Cabin on the Rocks, for relaxation and enjoyment of nature. Located high upon a mountain in the stunning Wears Valley, the cabin offers solitude within a short drive of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Smokey Mountain National Park. The cabin is available for rent year-round.

The Swiftwater Plan
Swiftwater Log Home Plan by Honest Abe Log Homes, Inc. features cathedral ceilings, an open concept dining and living space, and a luxury bath with garden tub.
The 1,276 Swiftwater is the consummate plan for a young family, a retired couple or for a lakeside or mountain retreat.
A grand hall with a fireplace and cathedral ceiling has kitchen, dining and living space in an open design. On either side of the grand hall, there’s a bedroom with a luxury bath including a walk-in shower and garden tub.
The living room and both bedrooms open onto a deck wide enough to accommodate dining and entertaining with room for a hot tub or fire pit.
The plan can be easily modified to suit a homeowner’s specific needs and can be executed in log, timber frame or a combination of materials. The photo shown here illustrates how the one couple added two small dormers above each of the one-story rooms flanking the great room.
