The loft, regardless of size or design, benefits from the floor-to-ceiling great room windows in many log and timber homes. It offers sweeping views of the great room with a birds-eye view of upper windows and an openness that enhances the open floor plan.

Cape Code Style Suitable for Urban or Rural Living
The Mayberry is a mid-sized home 1,419 SF plan that is easily modified to suit the needs of a homeowner.
A covered porch wraps around ¾ of the first floor with opening through the kitchen, bathroom and living room.
Downstairs is a guest bedroom and a separate full bath. The utility room is off a kitchen that has an island workspace and dishwasher. In the corner of the living room, which is open to the kitchen, there is a fireplace.
Upstairs is the master suite with a luxury bath. The loft, open to the living room below, has a small outside balcony with a staircase to the ground.

Honest Abe’s four model homes in the Tennessee cities of Moss, Cookeville, Crossville and Murfreesboro are open weekdays for tours.
