We are so honored to bring you the December 2019 Honest Abe Living – honored because it showcases the ongoing relationships we maintain with homeowners who chose Honest Abe to create their forever home. This month you’ll see photos of and read about four houses decorated for Christmas, including one timber frame and three log homes.
In these stories, homeowners tell how they conceived of and brought to life the home they’d always wanted. All offer ideas for designing, planning, constructing and decorating a wood home. One homeowner provides tips on creating a kitchen-centric home as well as sharing the original floor plan she and her husband designed. Another home is featured this month on the cover of Log Cabin Homes and in an article in Timber Home Living.
Interior designer Molly Cooper of Honest Abe’s Cooper & Co. design division makes suggestions about holiday decorating and making the most of the season.
Honest Abe’s 40th Anniversary celebration year wraps up with a story spotlighting five employees who’ve been with the company since its infancy.
An original old-fashioned apple pie recipe contributed by Grand Ole Opry star Loretta Lynn for a past Honest Abe fundraising cookbook captures the words and spirit of this country icon.
Honest Abe has set dates for the 2020 log home tours and log raisings, and links are provided for early registration.
We hope you enjoy the stories and photos in this issue, and we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
