February 2019 Edition
Linda and Chuck Howlett chose the banks of breathtaking Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia to build their Honest Abe Log Home after retiring from careers that had taken them around the globe.
The Howletts shared photos of their 10-room, 2,900-square-foot 8×8 milled D-log home and discussed with Honest Abe why they selected the home’s location, how they developed the floor plan and why they’re glad they built an Honest Abe Log Home.
“The solid look and warm feeling of the home is unmatched by any home we have lived in,” the Howletts said. “We think our home is a wonderful place for family and friends to visit, relax and enjoy what Mother Nature has given to us.”
Honest Abe offers a variety of window choices to shed light on your dream home’s interior.
